Edited by Leslie A. Marchand, who "culled and sifted the complete edition to bring together in one volume the most pungent and revealing of Byron's private letters...." There is also an excellent introduction, an anthology of selected quotes, and a helpful index. This selection is just the right length to feel you get to know Byron without wading through everything. Read his exchanges with John Murray about publishing, spy on his attempts to deal with Lady Caroline Lamb, hear what he has to say about other authors, and so much more. VG condition. The Belknap Press of Harvard University Press. Cambridge, Mass.  1982. Hb, Dj. USED. $10.00
