Historian Worsley, famous on BBC2 and host of Jane Austen: Behind Closed Doors, dives into Austen's places - the buildings, rooms, inside and outside spaces that shaped her life and figured prominently in her writing. We know Austen's life was not an easy traipse through grand homes and ballrooms, and Worsley doesn't shy away from the harsh realities. She argues that Austen fought for her freedom to live her own way, and that this is reflected in her writing. .  St. Martin's Press, 2017. Hb, dj. Listed at $29.99, NEW. $27.00
