16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut)

16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) Industrial-Grade Power for High-Volume Cutting The 16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) is a heavy-duty cutting machine engineered for high-performance applications in industrial settings. Equipped with a powerful 7.5 HP TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled) motor, this model runs on a three-phase power supply to deliver superior efficiency, increased power, and smoother operation during demanding tasks. Its 65 1/2″ crosscut capacity on 3/4″ stock and 5″ depth of cut in a single pass make it an ideal choice for manufacturers handling large materials and high-output production. Built for Strength and Longevity Weighing 1,500 pounds, Original Saw Company built the 16″ Beam Saw with high-quality materials designed to withstand the rigors of continuous industrial use: Cast Iron and Cast Aluminum Construction: Provides unmatched durability and stability during operation. Box Tubing Beam and Powder-Coated Steel Frame: Ensures long-term resilience and corrosion resistance. Vibration-Control Platform: Minimizes movement for consistently accurate cuts, even during extended use. Built to perform in environments running multiple shifts, the 16″ Beam Saw stands up to the demands of high-volume production. 16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) Provides Versatility Across Multiple Industries This Beam Saw is designed to handle a wide range of materials, including wood, aluminum, steel, and composite panels. Industries that rely on the 16″ Beam Saw include: Curtain wall and panel fabrication Metal roofing and decking production Structural steel manufacturing Canopy and frame construction Millwork and logging applications Model and prototype development Flexible Feed System Options for Superior Control The 16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) offers adaptable feed system options to suit a variety of cutting tasks. Choose between: Manual Chain Crank Crossfeed (Standard): Delivers precise control over the carriage, allowing for accurate manual adjustments while guiding the blade through the material. Electronic Powered Cross Feed (Optional Upgrade): Enhances efficiency by automating blade movement. The powered system smoothly advances the blade through the material and returns it to the starting position. Controls are conveniently placed on a movable stand for easy access. These customizable feed options allow the 16″ Beam Saw to meet the unique demands of manual precision work and high-efficiency production processes. Customizable Work Surface with Secure Clamping Options The saw’s T-slot extruded aluminum table provides a sturdy and secure platform for supporting heavy materials. The table accommodates a variety of clamping options to suit different production needs: Two-Front Pushing Pneumatic Clamping System: Simplifies repetitive cuts while reducing operator effort. Four-Pneumatic Clamping System: Provides added stability for larger or irregularly shaped materials. Six-Pneumatic Clamping System: Offers maximum material security for the most complex cutting tasks. An optional HDPE black plastic table insert kit can be added for a smoother surface, improving the handling of smaller materials. Enhanced Motor Performance with Three-Phase Efficiency The 16″ Beam Saw operates at peak efficiency and durability with the 7.5 HP TEFC motor, paired with advanced Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology. Three-Phase Power Advantage: Delivers a more stable and consistent power supply, reducing voltage fluctuations and improving overall motor performance. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD): Improves operational control by regulating blade speed. It also enables smooth start-ups and minimizes mechanical stress. The VFD also provides a controlled blade stop approximately 25 seconds after operation. The three-phase configuration not only enhances cutting performance but also extends the lifespan of the motor by reducing heat buildup and mechanical wear. Precision Blade Height Adjustment with Front Lower Elevation System on a 16″ Beam Saw The Front Lower Elevation System simplifies blade height adjustments with a conveniently positioned crank at the front of the saw frame. This easy-to-use system allows operators to quickly and precisely adjust blade height for different cutting tasks. Expanded Cutting Applications with Upgrade Options The 16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) accommodates a variety of cutting tasks, making it a versatile tool in industrial environments: Crosscuts: Up to 65 1/2″ on 3/4″ stock. Depth of Cut: Up to 5″ deep in a single pass. Bevel Cuts: Cuts up to 2″ deep at a 45° angle. Dado Cutting (Optional ): Order a dado blade to expand the saw’s capabilities to include dado cutting. Advanced Safety and Control Systems on the 16″ Beam Saw (3 phase with 65 1/2″ crosscut) The 16″ Beam Saw prioritizes operator safety while maintaining high operational efficiency. Key safety features include: Full Upper and Lower Blade Guarding: Provides comprehensive protection during operation while allowing the operator to maintain a clear view of the cutting area. Emergency Stop (E-Stop): Allows for immediate shutdown in an emergency, preventing potential accidents. Magnetic Starter with Low Voltage Controls: Adds an extra layer of protection by preventing unexpected start-ups after a power interruption. These safety measures provide operators peace of mind while providing smooth and secure operation.
