A resin fibre sanding disc has no rigid body of its own — it needs a backing pad to hold it flat and spread the load, and the pad is what threads onto the grinder spindle. This is Walter's standard pad assembly in impact resistant plastic with a ribbed face that supports the disc right out to the edge, on a 5/8"-11 thread that fits any common angle grinder. Match the pad diameter to the disc: a 4-1/2" disc wants the 4-1/2" pad. This is the 4-1/2" pad with a 5/8"-11 mount. Sold individually.
