It is the disc for everyday work on steel — knocking down light welds, cleaning mill scale, rust and paint, and general blending where you are not trying to move a lot of metal in a hurry. The grain is applied electrostatically, which stands the grit upright and keeps the cut cool rather than burnishing the surface.
