Pope John Paul II 50 Lire Vatican City Coin

A man of God whose good works changed the world, Pope John Paul II was canonized on April 27, 2014. He was elected Pope in 1978 and served until 2005. He is depicted in prayer at an earlier time on this very beautiful rare coin. Fewer than one million were produced by the Vatican Mint in the year 2000, and each is a special treasure for the collector. John Paul II's praying figure appears on the obverse; an image from Vatican City on the reverse. The coin is housed in a protective credit card style wallet case. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
