Caroline is Jane Austen's fifth great-niece, descended from Austen's brother Edward Knight. She lived at Chawton House on the estate where Jane Austen, her mother, sister, and friend were given a place to live by Edward, where Austen could finally write and re-write and publish her novels. When Caroline was 17, the family were forced to leave the home. Leaving everything Austen behind her, Caroline took her life in an entirely different direction. She explains in this moving autobiography how she later returned to her Austen heritage and launched her literacy campaign, the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation. The Greyfriar Group, Victoria, Australia. 2017. Paper. NEW/USED. $22.00
