Slight soiling of cover, esp spine, and one mark. Mrs Thrale/Mrs Piozzi was in the thick of things as ideas were rapidly changing at the turn of the new 19th century. Her notes in the margins of books and her letters shed much light on how new and old ideas were perceived at that time. This is a lovely volume to add to a collection. 1925: Cambridge, Harvard University Press. USED. $30.00
