It includes 800 feet of 7/16-inch fiberglass rod with an integrated copper trace wire, giving you a practical way to identify sewer laterals, confirm no cross bore has occurred, and trace ductile iron, plastic, tile, and concrete pipe. Clear markings every 5 feet, along with metric markings every 1 meter, help support more accurate progress tracking during field work. The rodder is designed for use in conduit with a 4-inch or larger inside diameter and can be detected at depths up to 10 feet when energized with a signal transmitter and traced with a hand-held receiver. A 9-inch bend radius helps it move through the run while maintaining control in the line. The rodding reel supports full-line tracing through an electromagnetic signal, helping reduce time spent on exploratory digging and trenching. A male end ferrule, pulling eye, and attached accessory kit on the frame add convenience for setup and routine jobsite use. Built with a durable frame and measuring 47.5 by 44 by 20 inches, this unit combines reach, traceability, and field-ready accessories in one organized system. Its 800-foot length and 7/16-inch diameter make it well suited for crews handling underground utility locating, duct verification, and pipe path confirmation in larger pathways. For teams that need long-distance tracing with clear markings and added detection capability, The Jameson 13-716-800M Duct Hunter Rodder delivers a practical solution.
