13-302 = Wood Bench Pin 7'' x 2-13/16''

A bench pin, a notched piece of wood, is a crucial tool for jewelers and metalsmiths, primarily used for supporting and stabilizing workpieces during sawing, filing, polishing, and other operations. Sawing:     The notch in the bench pin allows for a stable platform to saw metal, providing a secure surface for the saw to move and cut. Filing: The bench pin can be used to hold workpieces steady while filing, ensuring a smooth and accurate finish. Polishing: The bench pin can be used to support your work while polishing. Other Uses: Bench pins can also be used to hold tools like ring clamps and pliers in place, allowing for easier and more precise work. Customization: Some jewelers customize their bench pins with additional features like grooves for holding small parts or ring clamps, or even incorporating a stone-holding tray. Ergonomics: A well-placed bench pin can improve ergonomics by allowing jewelers to work more comfortably and efficiently.  This replacement wood bench pin measures approximately 7" long and 2-13/16" wide.  This is a good replacement pin for most of our work benches.   The tang of the bench pin is approximately 2-13/16"W x 1-9/16"L x 1/2" thick.
