What’s Inside This Coffee Kit Black Tucano Single Origin Roasted Coffee 250g - Yellow Catucaí 2SL from Sítio Bom Destino, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Concise brew guidance to help you unlock its best expression in both filter and espresso formats. This kit centers on quality and technique, so you can elevate your home brewing without the guesswork. Use your preferred dripper, kettle, and grinder; follow the recipes below to dial in a cup that’s bright, sweet, and unmistakably origin‑forward. Brewing Guide Pour‑Over (V60, Kalita, or Chemex) Ratio: 1:16 - for example, 25 g coffee to 400 g water. Grind: Medium to medium‑fine; aim for a steady, even flow. Water: 200°F (93–94°C), filtered. Bloom: 40–45 seconds with 2–3x coffee weight in water. Gently swirl. Pours: Finish in 2–3 pulses, targeting a total time of 2:45–3:15. Dialing notes: If you want more floral detail, grind slightly coarser and keep total time around three minutes. For deeper honey and rapadura sweetness, grind a notch finer to extend contact time-just avoid choking the bed. Expect a cup that’s crystalline and perfumed, with peach emerging as it cools. Espresso Starting recipe: 18 g in, 36 g out, 28–32 seconds at ~200°F (9 bars). For more body and caramelized sugars, pull closer to 1:1.8. For brighter florals and peach, extend to 1:2.1–1:2.2 and lower the temperature slightly if possible. Dialing notes: A slightly finer grind amplifies honeyed texture; a slightly coarser grind highlights floral lift and a clean finish. This medium roast offers an accessible window for home baristas-expect a forgiving extraction with satisfying sweetness and minimal bitterness.
