The Stretch Lanyard from Energy Safety Supply offers a compact and user-friendly solution designed for these situations. This innovative lanyard features a unique blend of materials that provides a surprising amount of stretch, enhancing worker comfort and reducing snag hazards in tight spaces. Why Choose the Stretch Lanyard? Ideal for Confined Spaces: This stretch lanyard is specifically designed for situations where a standard length lanyard might hinder movement. The stretchy material allows for a comfortable range of motion while minimizing excess rope that could snag on equipment or obstacles. This promotes worker efficiency and reduces the risk of accidental disconnects from the anchor point. Reliable Fall Arrest (with Limitations): Safety remains paramount. While not intended as a standalone fall arrest system, the stretch lanyard boasts a high tensile strength, ensuring it can support a significant weight in the event of a fall. However, it's crucial to note that this lanyard must be used in conjunction with a certified fall arrest harness and a suitable anchor point. Reduced Risk of Snags: The innovative blend of materials offers a smoother surface texture compared to standard lanyards. This minimizes the chance of the lanyard snagging on equipment or tight spaces, promoting a safer work environment. FME (Foreign Material Exclusion) Benefits: By providing a secure connection point between a worker's harness and a compatible anchor point, this stretch lanyard promotes FME best practices. It eliminates the need for loose ropes or unreliable connections, minimizing the risk of tools or dropped objects causing injury below. Comfortable Design: Unlike traditional lanyards, the stretch design offers surprising comfort during use. The stretchy material reduces tension and strain on the shoulders, promoting worker comfort during extended work periods. Compact and Lightweight: This stretch lanyard is compact and lightweight, making it easy to store and transport. This portability is ideal for workers who frequently move between jobsites or require fall protection in various confined spaces. Cost-Effective Solution: Compared to purchasing a pre-assembled vertical lifeline system, this stretch lanyard offers a budget-friendly option for confined space work.
