About the product Hanging pictures using picture wire is a classic picture-hanging technique that has stood the test of time. Made from braided strands of galvanized wire, braided picture wire offers a perfect balance of strength and flexibility. This photo wire is ideal for pairing with most traditional art hangers and works seamlessly with both wood and metal frames.  Picture wire for lightweight to medium-weight picture frames, wall clocks, etc Measures 100 ft and .040" in diameter Supports up to 12 lbs Wire size #2 Each braided wire is made of 12 thin, galvanized steel strands for enhanced strength, flexibility, and resistance to corrosion Compatible photo wire with brass and nickel hooks, D-rings, and most other frame hangers Instructions   Measure the distance between the frame’s hanging points. Add a few extra inches for tying, then cut the wire to this length. Take one end of the wire and thread it through the hanger, pulling it through to leave a bit of slack.
