Black Tucano Fruity Roasted Coffee Kit – Limited-Edition Single-Origin, 250g Meet your next favorite coffee: a vibrant, limited-edition micro-lot that celebrates fruit-forward sweetness and meticulous craftsmanship. The Black Tucano Fruity Roasted Coffee Kit centers on a truly standout specialty coffee from Afonso Cláudio, Espírito Santo, Brazil-grown at Sítio Bom Destino by producer Lima Bassoli and roasted with precision by Black Tucano Coffee Roasters. With a medium roast that highlights the origin’s natural character, a carefully controlled fermented process, and an SCA score above 89 points, this single-origin release taps into everything we love about Brazilian terroir: clarity, elegance, and a long, honeyed finish. A Fruity Coffee Profile That Shines If you crave expressive, fruit-forward brewing, this coffee is your lane. Expect a lively bouquet on opening-strawberry and raspberry burst from the bag, framed by a soft halo of molasses and honey. In the cup, the sweetness is layered and confident: think sun-ripened berries, a silky body, and a clean, lingering finish that invites another sip. The acidity is bright but balanced, carrying red-fruit clarity without any harshness. This is the kind of specialty coffee that turns a routine pour-over into a small ceremony. Origin, Process, and Craft From the slopes of Afonso Cláudio at 850 meters, producer Lima Bassoli cultivates Catuaí 81-a variety revered for its consistency and sweetness. The lot is Arabica, meticulously sorted, and guided through a refined fermented process that deepens fruit complexity while preserving a syrupy, approachable structure. Roasted by Black Tucano Coffee Roasters with a deft hand, the profile is tuned to spotlight origin nuance: sweet berry aromatics, a caramel-like backbone, and a polished finish that tastes like intention. This limited release speaks to the best of Brazil’s contemporary single-origin landscape-clean, transparent, and expressive. Every step, from harvest timing to roast curve, is dialed to honor the farm’s character rather than overshadow it. Roast and Grind: Built for Filter Brewing The roast sits comfortably at medium, designed to unlock clarity in filter methods and traditional coffee makers. The grind is ideal for pour-over, drip, and immersion styles, making it easy to capture the coffee’s berry-forward personality at home. Prefer experimenting? With careful dialing-in, this medium roast can yield a lively, fruit-led espresso that leans into strawberry and raspberry, with molasses rounding out the syrupy shot. Brewing Recommendations To showcase the fruit tone and honeyed sweetness, start with fresh, filtered water and a 1:15 to 1:16 ratio. Keep your water around 200°F (93°C) and adjust based on taste-cooler for more rounded sweetness, hotter for brightness and snap. V60 / Pour-Over: 18 g coffee to 288 g water. Rinse your filter, bloom for 30–45 seconds with 45 g water, then pour in slow concentric circles. Aim for a 2:45–3:15 total time for clarity and lift. Chemex: 30 g coffee to 480 g water. A slightly coarser grind will emphasize silkiness and a honeyed finish. Target 3:45–4:30 for a clean, elegant cup. AeroPress: 15 g coffee to 225 g water. 60-second steep, gentle press over 30 seconds. Expect vivid strawberry and a round, molasses-like sweetness. French Press: 30 g coffee to 450 g water. Steep 4 minutes, then break, skim, and rest for 1 minute before serving. You’ll get maximal body and a dessert-like finish. Traditional Drip Coffee Maker: Use the medium filter grind and your machine’s standard cycle. This setup amplifies balance and everyday drinkability. Moka Pot: A fine-medium grind will bring out syrupy fruit notes. Use lower heat for a slow, gentle extraction that avoids bitterness. The Sensory Experience As you grind, the aroma leans into fresh berries-think market-stall strawberries and a hint of raspberry jam. The first sip opens with a candied strawberry note that quickly settles into raspberry brightness. Mid-palate, molasses adds weight and warmth, while a natural honey tone carries through to the finish. The body is plush yet buoyant, perfect for quiet mornings or a mid-afternoon reset. As the cup cools, the fruit notes intensify, and the sweetness becomes even more articulate.
