10″ Dual Wheel Rigid – Ultra High Capacity Polymer – Model 2-100

Rigid Casters Model 2-100 are usually picked when machinery needs to be moved in a direct line. Mechanically powered equipment is used to pull, push, or tow from the end of the object. It is easier to position something being moved if the object is supported by 4 swivel casters that allowed the object to be moved in any direction. These casters are made to order items and are NOT RETURNABLE. Lead Time 1 week or less. *This Plate Caster Model 2-100 contains Ultra High Capacity Polymer Wheels. At Caster City, we specialize in providing heavy duty dual wheel caster solutions that distribute weight evenly across two wheels mounted side by side on a single swivel assembly. This design not only boosts stability and load capacity but also ensures smoother rolling on various surfaces, from smooth concrete floors to textured carpets. Ideal for industrial carts, furniture, and medical equipment, dual wheel casters minimize wear and tear while offering unparalleled durability—tailored to meet the needs of businesses seeking reliable, long-lasting performance without compromising on ease of use. One of the key advantages of dual wheel casters is their innovative differential action, which allows the two wheels to rotate independently at different speeds or even in opposite directions during turns. This mimics the functionality of a vehicle differential, enabling the inner wheel to slow down or reverse slightly while the outer wheel spins faster to cover more ground. As a result, scuffing and scrubbing; common issues with single-wheel designs that can damage floors and cause unsightly marks — are dramatically reduced. Our dual wheel models promote easier rolling motion, protecting your floor surfaces and extending the life of both the casters and your flooring, making them perfect for high-traffic environments like warehouses, hospitals, and offices where floor preservation is essential. Finally, dual wheel casters excel in reducing the forces required to change direction, making maneuvering heavy loads effortless and efficient. With less “wheel scrubbing” during pivots, you’ll experience lower pushing or pulling effort, which translates to reduced user strain and improved productivity in fast-paced settings. At Caster City, we manufacture these casters with premium polyurethane on iron center, forged steel wheels, ultra high capacity nylon wheels, and ductile steel wheels with a variety of bearing choices to suit any application. Bearing choices include, needle roller bearings, precision sealed ball bearings, or tapered roller bearings. The Inner Workings of the Ultra High Capacity Polymer Caster Wheels Ultra High Capacity Polymer Caster Wheels from Caster City are engineered to support heavy loads while protecting floors from the damage typically caused by metal wheels. Unlike polyurethane wheels, which can develop flat spots or delaminate under prolonged static loads, these non-marking black polymer wheels are compression molded and machined for superior durability and performance. Their straight-sided design maximizes load capacity, making them an ideal choice for indoor applications on smooth surfaces where floor preservation is critical. Available in 2”, 3”, and 4” widths and diameters ranging from 3” to 12”, these wheels are equipped with 2 to 4 precision sealed ball bearings (depending on size) for smooth operation and long service life. With a hardness of 80 Shore D and a temperature range of -20°F to 250°F, they resist corrosion, chemicals, and impacts, offering a robust alternative to steel wheels. These wheels are designed for a wide range of heavy-duty applications across industries, including material handling, manufacturing, warehousing, aerospace, automotive, and more. Their flat tread face ensures stable load distribution, and the compression molding process eliminates the risk of flat spots, making them perfect for equipment like platform trucks, assembly line carts, or automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that remain stationary under heavy loads. Capable of withstanding shocks, chemicals, oils, and acids, these wheels are also suitable for harsh environments like chemical plants, food processing facilities, or marine applications. For high-temperature settings (up to 250°F) or specialized needs, such as stainless steel bearings or roller bearings, Caster City offers customizable options to meet your requirements.
