10-15 Camaro Front Camera Kit

Are you tired of hitting your front splitter on the curb or do you have a tight parking space where seeing in front of you would greatly help?  Gen5DIY has you covered.  This front camera kit will allow you to turn on and off, the front camera as needed.  The front camera image will display on the rear view mirror.  If installing this kit into a car with Mylink the front camera will still displayed on the rear view mirror, as the Mylink is not capable of displaying a secondary image.  Listed below are some examples how the camera would operate in different Camaro models. A:2010-2012 models without Mylink and 2012's without factory camera: If you have already "added" a reverse camera into your car that displays on your rear view mirror please contact us as we can design a custom kit for you that will allow the reverse camera to still function as well as adding in front camera functionality. B:2010-2012 models with added Mylink and 2012's without factory camera:  If you have added Mylink to your 2010-2012 Camaro and have added a reverse camera as well, the reverse image will remain on the Mylink screen.    The front camera kit will consist of a front camera, a LCD mirror, a control switch and necessary harnesses.  When the car is put into reverse the rear camera will be displayed on the Mylink and the front camera will automatically be displayed on the mirror.  You can also turn the front camera on and off via the switch. C:2012 models with factory installed Camera and without Mylink:  If your 2012 has the factory installed camera, which already displays in the rear view mirror,  you unfortunately will not be able to add a front camera to your car without losing the reverse camera function.  If you have this combo please contact us for available options. D:2012 models with factory installed camera with Mylink:  If your 2012 has the factory installed reverse camera and you have added a Mylink to your car, you can add a front camera to your car.  The kit will consist of a front camera, a new LCD mirror(the factory LCD mirror for 2012 is not capable of being used for a front camera), a control switch and necessary harnesses.  When the car is put into reverse the rear camera will be displayed on the Mylink and the front camera will automatically be displayed on the reverse mirror.  You can also turn the the front camera on and off via the switch E:2013-2015 models:  If your 2013-2015 has Mylink with a reverse camera, the reverse image will remain displayed on the Mylink screen and the front image will be displayed on the new LCD mirror.  For 2013-2015 without Mylink the front camera image will simply be displayed on the new LCD mirror.  When the car is put into reverse the reverse camera will still be displayed on Mylink car's and the front image will automatically be displayed on the LCD mirror.  You can also turn the front camera on and off via the switch.  Please note that on 13-15 models you will lose your frameless mirror for the new LCD mirror.
