PATTERN ROUTER BITS 1/4" SHANK

Whether you are a full time professional or a part-time woodworking enthusiast, discover the unlimited possibilities of template routing with a pattern bit. Pair up these double fluted bits with your choice of template to produce cabinet and furniture pieces, signs, toys and any other creative projects. Carbide tipped to last longer, pattern bits are equipped with shank-mounted bearings for working with the bearing above the wood piece. This gives you a clear view of what you are routing so you can work confidently and accurately.  The exclusive miniature bits feature 3/16″ and 1/4″ diameter ball bearing guides that are ideal for delicate projects such as sign making, building musical instruments, routing letter edges, flush trimming, plunging tight corners and confined areas. PATTERN BIT SELECTION: The template must be securely fastened to the workpiece. When choosing a bit, carefully consider the thickness of the template and all the implications of the cut. Opt for the shortest bit possible for the project you are working on. When selecting a pattern bit, be sure to keep in mind the complexities of the pattern and the tightest radius in the pattern. Always use the largest diameter bit that is compatible with the pattern for the best finish quality and the greatest ease of use. Larger diameter bits also allow for larger bearings which last longer in heavy use applications. Always remember to check the bit clearance below your work so that you don’t accidentally cut into your workbench or other support structure. NOTE: Due to the extremely small diameter, 47220, 47222, & 47224  are not warranted for breakage. Reduce speed & feed rate on these bits.
