She was a three-time high school state champion, once in cross country and two times on a 4×800 relay team. She ran in college at the University of South Carolina for two years and decided my love for running was not what it once was. After a few months off, she decided to train for her first marathon and rediscovered her love for the sport. After 11 marathons, she took a break, and over the course of having kids, has enjoyed running as a mental break here and there. Recently she had a little resurgence in finding her competitive side again and is really enjoying the challenge. She is most proud that, as life has evolved, She been able to continue to come back to running at all stages and use it as a place to find peace.
