GrimmSpeed Intercooler Splitter, 2015-2021 Subaru WRX / STI with GrimmSpeed TMIC The GrimmSpeed Intercooler Splitter mounts beneath the factory hood scoop and directs ram air over the GrimmSpeed TMIC surface on 2015-2021 WRX and STI. Without a splitter, much of the available ram air misses the intercooler core entirely. DETAILS Directs hood scoop air over TMIC surface Companion to GrimmSpeed TMIC Improves TMIC cooling efficiency from available ram air Fitment: 2015-2021 Subaru WRX / STI with GrimmSpeed TMIC The factory hood scoop routes air into the engine bay in the direction of the TMIC, but without a splitter, airflow distribution is diffuse and a significant portion passes around the core rather than through it. At highway speeds and track conditions where ram pressure is meaningful, this represents wasted cooling potential. The GrimmSpeed splitter mounts to the underside of the hood scoop and creates a directed channel toward the intercooler surface. More effective cooling from the same available airflow. What's in the Box GrimmSpeed intercooler splitter Mounting hardware Why Choose GrimmSpeed GrimmSpeed has been engineering performance parts for Subaru platforms from their Portland, Oregon facility since 2003. Everything they make is designed around real-world use, their engineers drive the same cars their customers drive, which means product decisions are made with genuine platform knowledge behind them. GrimmSpeed designs parts in-house, sources quality materials, and validates fitment on the actual application before release. The result is parts that install correctly the first time, perform as advertised, and hold up under the conditions Subaru owners actually subject their cars to. Whether it is a critical engine component or a cosmetic upgrade, the same attention to detail and fit quality applies across the catalog. The RallySport Take The intercooler splitter is the companion upgrade that makes the GrimmSpeed TMIC investment work as intended. The TMIC and splitter are designed as a system.
