Feuling Parts 4018ST High-Performance Valve Lifter for Street and Race Engines

The Feuling Parts 4018ST high-performance valve lifter is engineered for both street and race applications, delivering enhanced engine performance and durability. Crafted from machined steel, this lifter features a revolutionary design with 0.115 inches of total travel, reducing from the conventional 0.200 inches. This travel reduction helps increase RPM, decreases valve float, and minimizes valve-train harmonics, resulting in a smoother engine operation and improved power output. The design also reduces oil aeration inside the lifter during high-lift camshaft operation, which mitigates noisy lifter behavior caused by air pockets that can lead to poor performance and excessive wear. Proper installation involves setting the lifter with approximately 0.065 to 0.070 inches of pre-load, with engine heat expansion bringing it to an optimal operating preload around half travel, ensuring effective valve-train stability. The lifter is compatible with Feuling's HP+® and Race Series® oil pumps, making it suitable for a variety of high-performance engines. Its high-flow disc-style check valve reacts swiftly at higher RPMs, while the precision ground needle roller bearing with a high chromium steel axle guarantees long life and minimal friction. Designed for demanding applications, the lifter supports large lift camshafts and higher valve spring pressures, with a slower bleed-down rate to maintain consistent performance. The Spin-Tron technology used in its development has been proven on both dyno and track, ensuring reliable performance under extreme conditions. To optimize operation, Feuling recommends pumping each lifter by hand prior to installation using a thin weight oil like ATF, ensuring the lifter is fully primed and free of air. For engines with valve spring pressures exceeding 185 pounds, Feuling advises using Race Series® lifters and a high-volume oil pump for quieter, more efficient operation. Built in the USA, the Feuling 4018ST lifter combines advanced engineering with durable construction, making it ideal for enthusiasts seeking maximum valve lift and stability in high-performance engines.
