0515: Black

0515: Black | Mixed-Media Original Painting There is something quietly obsessive about a number repeated until it becomes more than itself. 0515: Black is a richly layered mixed-media painting built around that very idea. The sequence — 0515 — appears again and again across the canvas, shifting in scale and direction, creating a visual rhythm that is equal parts structured and spontaneous. White, brown, and black forms surface from a deep, textured background that seems to have history buried within it, layer upon layer. Copper and silver leaf interrupt the darkness with flashes of warmth and light, giving the composition an almost ceremonial quality. Spray paint lays the foundation for atmosphere while deliberate red drips fall through the piece like punctuation — urgent, expressive, impossible to ignore. Dimensional wooden numbers press forward from the surface, blurring the boundary between painting and object. 0515: Black is not a quiet piece. It demands attention, invites interpretation, and changes depending on the light and the eye of the beholder. A striking focal point for collectors and art enthusiasts who appreciate work that is bold, layered, and deeply intentional.
