024701 Cylinder

Introducing the 024701 Cylinder by Blackmer! The 024701 Cylinder is a high-precision pump component manufactured by Blackmer, designed for use in positive displacement and sliding vane pumps. Constructed using durable materials such as high-grade steel and compatible sealing elements, it offers long-term reliability and resistance to wear under demanding operational conditions. The cylinder features a bore diameter of approximately 50.8 mm (2 inches) and a length of 150 mm, with a weight of around 1.2 kg, making it suitable for a variety of pump configurations and applications. It is compatible with Blackmer pump models that require a 024701 Cylinder, ensuring precise fit and optimal sealing for consistent pump performance. The component is engineered to withstand high pressures up to 10 bar (145 psi) and temperatures ranging from -20°C to 80°C (-4°F to 176°F), making it suitable for chemical, petroleum, and industrial fluid handling tasks. The 024701 Cylinder provides essential features such as a machined cylinder bore with tight tolerances, surface treatments for corrosion resistance, and compatibility with sealing and piston assemblies. It is ideal for use in stationary or mobile pump setups, particularly when maintaining efficiency and reducing downtime are priorities. Use cases include replacing worn cylinders in existing pumps, improving pump performance in high-demand environments, and upgrading older pump units for increased longevity. It is an essential component for pump operators seeking dependable pump performance without exceeding their budget. The 024701 Cylinder is supplied as a complete assembly, including the cylinder body, sealing face, and mounting hardware—additional seals or pistons are not included. Proper installation involves torque control and sealing checks to prevent leakage. Maintenance of the 024701 Cylinder involves regular inspection for corrosion, wear, or damage, and adherence to manufacturer-recommended lubrication and cleaning procedures. The component is covered by a standard manufacturer's warranty, and cleaning should be performed with compatible solvents. Replacement should follow prescribed service intervals to ensure continued pump efficiency.
