α-Solid Silicon - Løft Discs 177.95g

| Home | Løft Discs | Silicon | Color: White/Gold       speed: 5 glide: 4 turn: 0 fade: 3 The Silicon is the first midrange from Løft Discs. It's an overstable midrange that feels kind of like an approach disc, but with more glide and distance. When released flat it has a mostly straight flight with a very dependable fade. This disc thrives in the woods, where it carves flex lines and hyzers with sidearms and backhands alike, but it also works really well for headwind approaches in the open. Silicon is a low profile midrange with a curvy and extremely smooth feel in the hand. Like the Hydrogen putter, the flight plate for this disc is thin towards the middle and gets thicker towards the rim, which increases the moment of inertia, resulting in a slightly straighter flight. Diameter 21.6cm Height 1.8cm Rim Depth 1.4cm Inside Rim Diameter 18.9cm Max Weight 179.3gr Dominess: 0 α-Solid The α-Solid plastic is the most durable plastic used by Løft Discs. It offers excellent grip for driving purposes, while having a medium stiffness and a shiny surface finish. The line of Hydrogen putters made with α-Solid is perfect for driving and throwing. Løft Discs Proving once again that Northern Europe may be ground central for disc golf innovation, Denmark's Løft Discs started cranking out ideas about what would constitute the straightest flying putter during the summer of 2020. Through half a year of collaboration with Kastaplast on his bachelor's project in mechanical engineering, founder Niels Sørensen developed the beginning of what turned out to be their flight path simulator. With the assistance of good friend, economist and founder, Asger Sandahl, they succeeded in actually simulating flight paths of discs in 3D. This sparked the idea of using the tool to develop discs, instead of relying solely on assumptions and experience. And, not too much time later, the Hydrogen putter was born. Since then, they have continued to pump out an unique lineup of discs. | Home | Løft Discs | Silicon |
